uLikeKorea, a digital livestock company, announced on the 15th that it has secured a patent from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for its “System and Method for Analyzing Livestock Behavior Using Acceleration Sensors.” With this patent, the company has locked in exclusive technology for monitoring rumen (regurgitating stomach) health information in the U.S. market, positioning itself to accelerate its entry into the global livestock healthcare market.
uLikeKorea’s “rumen health information technology” plays a key role in monitoring the health of a cow’s stomach in real time to diagnose and prevent diseases early. Because its artificial intelligence (AI)-based analysis can assess not only health status but also meat quality grading systems, it is expected to boost productivity and enable more efficient management for livestock farms.
Kim Hee-jin, CEO of uLikeKorea, said, “We have established a bridgehead into the U.S. livestock market of 100 million head, the largest in the world,” adding, “By converging data and AI with the livestock industry, we will change the paradigm of the global livestock industry.”
Meanwhile, uLikeKorea is the company that developed “LiveCare,” Korea’s first orally administered IoT biocapsule. Inserted into a cow’s rumen, it collects biometric information free from external environmental influences, analyzes it with AI, and delivers real-time health management services through a dedicated app.
Currently deployed in eight countries, it is regarded as a technological advance over conventional ear-, neck-, and leg-mounted devices. The company plans to leap forward as a global livestock healthcare platform in partnership with Metech Holdings, which developed the world’s first methane gas measurement and reduction device, the “Methane Capsule.”
