D.CAMP announced that it has selected 10 startups for the fourth cohort of the D.CAMP Batch program, which is run for deep-tech startups. D.CAMP recently held an orientation for the companies participating in Batch 4 to introduce the program’s benefits. The event also served as a networking occasion, bringing together batch mentors, partner VCs (venture capital firms), and cooperating organizations. In particular, Yoon Hee-young, CEO of Vuezen and a participant in the second batch, drew attention from attendees by sharing her experience with mentoring and resource utilization during the D.CAMP Batch program. The Batch 4 companies selected this time are Gaptech, DeepMetrics, Metech Holdings, Space Linktec, IdeaOcean, Ahes, Cosmobee, Tepha Robotics, FirstLab, and Fit-in — 10 companies in total.

Gaptech is a climate-tech company whose core focus is reducing greenhouse gases. Leveraging its core technologies, it operates businesses such as providing greenhouse gas and carbon dioxide reduction solutions, cutting fine dust, manufacturing air-environment facilities, and offering gas-resource recovery solutions. DeepMetrics is an artificial intelligence (AI)-based intensive care unit automation platform company that helps operate ventilators effectively based on data such as patients’ vital signs, ventilator signals, and blood test results.

Metech Holdings is a company that has developed the “Methane Capsule,” which can measure methane gas and carbon dioxide inside a cow’s stomach, with the goal of reducing methane emissions from livestock. Space Linktec is a space-medicine company that develops next-generation pharmaceutical research and production platforms by utilizing the microgravity environment of satellites and space stations. Cosmobee is a space and aerospace company that develops Hall thruster systems, high-efficiency propulsion devices capable of generating high thrust even at low power. A Hall thruster is a type of electric propulsion device used in high-difficulty space missions such as ultra-small satellites and asteroid exploration probes. Tepha Robotics is a startup in the industrial robot software field that aims for “efficient factory automation.”

The 10 selected startups will move into the startup space operated by D.CAMP for one year, receiving a range of support tailored to their growth stage, including investment opportunities of up to 1.5 billion won, expert mentoring and consulting, founder and investor networking, and business linkage support. In addition, a dedicated mentor is matched to each company for one year to support customized growth.
